Increase Sales Up To 10% with Amazon A+ Enhanced Content Pages

The more information customers have at their disposal, the more likely they are to make an informed buying decision. That’s the argument behind Amazon’s A+ content for vendors, which Amazon says can increase sales on average up to 3 to 10% by:

  • Educating the consumer about your product
  • Offering more information about your brand
  • Improving SEO results

In an online world where multimedia has become prevalent, A+ Pages is vendors’ best bet to tap into this trend in the Amazon ecosphere. A+ Content can include high quality images, video, as well as comparison charts that convey the value of the product in a more user-friendly and appealing way.

Vendors have the choice of signing up for the Amazon A+ program, but will likely have to pay per page (more on that in a moment). However, if you have the resources – or if the A+ content is free and baked into your contract – then chances are you’ll see some pretty good returns.

Enhanced Brand Content Pages

Choosing The Right A+ Detail Page Package

Currently, vendors have two (2) options when choosing an A+ package:

Self-Service Modules

Self-service modules are designed for vendors who have the resources to provide and select all content and copy. These modules come in four subsets: Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum, each with a flat fee. Some vendors may qualify for free A+ Pages, but at this time there’s no way to predict if the pages will be free until you have submitted your content. If you don’t qualify for the free pages, then you can expect to pay anywhere from $0 – $400/detail page.

If you choose the self-service module, you’ll be asked to:

  • Create the project
  • Build layout retailers
  • Upload and arrange content
  • Review and add to cart

Amazon Builds

The second option vendors have is Amazon Builds, where the vendor supplies Amazon with content and photos, but Amazon will choose the design and layout of the actual A+ detail page. These pages are typically 3x more expensive then the self-service modules, and are also segregated by 4 tiers (Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum). Expect to pay anywhere from $500 – $1,500 per detail page.

When building a layout, vendors have the 5 different modules to choose from for designing their page, including:

  • Standard – Great for a product with multiple image shots
  • Advanced – Can show comparison charts

Submitting An A+ Detail Page Request

To get started, log into VENDOR CENTRAL and hover over the MERCHANDISING menu. Select A+ DETAIL PAGES. Choose either the “Self Service” module or the “Amazon Builds for You” module.

Self Service:

When you choose “Self Service” you’ll be taken to a page that asks you to enter the ASIN; you can then select the image of the ASIN that pops up. Name your project and select CONTINUE.

You’ll then be prompted to select a build layout style. Click and drag the styles you want from the left-hand column to the right, and hit CONTINUE.

You’ll then come to a page that asks you to upload images and content. Once this page is filled and complete, select PREVIEW.

Once you’re happy with what you see, you can add to cart and see the pricing. Once you complete the purchase, Amazon should have the A+ live within 2-3 days.

Amazon Builds:

If you choose the Amazon Builds module, you have fewer steps to take. Simply enter the ASIN, along with a file with the content you’d like to have included.

Then Amazon will work on your page and have it live within 2-3 days, once you place your purchase.
